The controversy surrounding the Islamic cultural center is really a distraction to the bigger issues at hand. It seems that the issues that seem to get the most media attention these days are the ones that divide us as a people. The American hive mind is easily manipulated with propaganda and the use of manufactured consent is something that has held its own in this country for generations.
It becomes increasingly difficult to counter the already manipulated masses. Our only weapon is dialogue and reason, through these channels over time we can slightly gear the hive mind in the right direction whatever that may be. In my opinion the opposition and rage surrounding this specific issue is very un-American in its nature and goes against the principles this nation was founded on.
Given our history I am beginning to believe the definition of what is and what isn’t American is something that itself can be re-defined. Our founding fathers believed in Life,Liberty and the pursuit of happiness and these principles are meant to be held together by the U.S Constitution. A document that has been nearly destroyed by the baby boomers generation, and it is up to my generation to restore it.
Since it’s creating banking and corporate interest have pushed to undermine it and work to dismantle its foundation. We package these ideas and through imperialism spread it across the globe with the simple goal of profit. Just keep in mind that the enemy as it is presented to us is usually imaginary and fabricated, the mainstream media who we believe is here to inform us in actuality is here to keep us in check.
I bet you’re wondering why I hardly mentioned the Mosque in this quick post, well because the mosque is not even the real issue here. Muslims have been praying in that building for the last year, and no one complained until they decided to add a pool and fitness center for the entire community to use. This is just a simple example of how fear is used to move the hive mind in a negative direction.
Read and keep your eyes on the bigger issues, not denying fellow Americans the rights that make this country what it’s supposed to be.
WOW.. So true. I was having this exact conversation with a friend last night. We always concentrate on the negative of everything positive. Its because its a MOSQUE people have this misconception that they are somehow betraying America. When they are infact betraying everything America “stands” for.
