I’ve been on twitter for about 2 and a half years now… A lot of people knock it but that’s because they don’t really understand it.

I did not understand it at first, I joined via my blackberry curve dig the google sync only buddy of mine that was on it was @itsreallysue who is awesome and weird like me. So off to a good start the app was very simple just asked, “What are you doing?” and provides a blank space. I thought Hmm, should I just type what I’m doing? what kind of crap is this?

After a day of fiddling around like most first users I abandoned it for a few months saying hi to sue here and there. Towards the end of 2008 when Android finally released the G1, Twitter became a new world. At first I used it for “Microblogging” what it was dubbed as, at first. Writing short blog post or mini stories, one tweet at a time. The followers started to come and Twitter started to Rock.

Today, I still get a lot of people I come across who still don’t understand it, or just hear about it here and there on the news and feel it’s immature. The usual, “Oh you be tweeting son?” , “Why do you tweet? that shit is stupid”, or “It’s a waste of time”. “You’re not learning anything..”

But actually I am learning a ton, about current events, politics,hood/ghetto crap, funny stuff, gadgets, music, art, design. You can follow your favorite celebs, rappers comedian which I refrain from doing because from experience a lot of them are better on TV than on your timeline.

The list goes on and on and on because on twitter, You create your own world. You decide who to follow and when to stop following. In some cases it could be a high-school cafeteria where you can just peek in and chat with friends.

Or a town hall meeting discussing politics current events, even a street corner where everyone is sharing the latest gossips, having TWEEFS(twitter beefs) and letting out their frustrations. This is communication and human connection at its finest, in its purest and pretty much unsupervised form.

I have people from all over the world on my timeline and at any given moment I can peek in and hear news, drama, comedy, interesting or just some random annoying stupid comment that will get a reaction out of me. Even get me involved in a “TWEEF”.

Like any other social networking web app, you have to use your brain and put out what you feel comfortable having out there. You can also make your account private and only have a select group of people you select involved. However I have learned a ton and continue to learn everyday. I have learned about different people, how they think and operate.

What moves them in groups, the type of people who enjoy stirring up conflict and controversy. The crazy thing is I did not set out to learn any of this stuff it just kind of comes to you. Patterns of behavior, routines, etc.

Twitter is an experience, that is not easy to put into words because it is different and unique for every person. As long as you understand that, then you can begin to explore this and mold it to something of your liking where it will no longer be confusing. But use it wisely because as easily as I have learned about people without setting out to.

Others who do set out to with a purpose can use it as a tool, that has proven much more powerful than facebook, myspace or anything else that can fit into the category of a social networking web application…. Well I guess that’s all I have to yap about today. I just had a huge brainstorm about twitter and said hey you know what I’ve been using this jammer for over 2 years let me take a crack at it.

I wrote this post a few years back for another blog, I was still employed at the place I am talking about so I had to use an Alias. I no longer work at this place so Please Enjoy!

The whole mess started on a regular workday—computer, phone, cubicle, all that. I had a new employee, “Tiff,” who I had to start training that morning. “Whoopee!” I thought sarcastically, leaning back my chair. Then she walked in.

About six-feet tall, great body, ok grill-piece–but her curves smoothed over any visible flaws. Like every girl in NYC who’s six-feet tall, she was an “aspiring model.”

Less than 15 minutes after I started training her, she pops a flash drive into my computer, with over 100 pictures of her in sexy lingerie, some spread shots. All amateur, but not bad to look at–and NSFW, any way you put it.

Two weeks went by, and we began to realize that this girl totally oversold herself on her resume, and fooled us on the interview. How she got away with it I don’t F’ing know–her common sense and intelligence just weren’t there.

One day, she gets caught on YouTube, so the boss snatches her Internet privileges. An hour later, she hands me a letter saying the “Big” boss was sexually harassing her, going into explicit detail of his lewd comments and her “inappropriately touched” upper thigh.

Not believing her bullsh*t, I took the letter to HR, who’s people immediately started an internal investigation.

Two days later, Tiff is in the cafeteria, yapping with other staff members about how she “staged the entire thing” with a guy that worked on the 69th floor of our office building, and that “this was the fifth firm we will have taken down” on bogus sexual harassment charges.

I missed the whole thing. But after my close friend, Harry, who was there for her idiotic bragging, explained the story to me, I got his witness account in writing, and handed it in to HR.

Being a prestigious financial firm in the Empire State Building, we hired private investigators to find some dirt on this girl, Tiff. If she was telling the truth, we would deal with it accordingly. If she was lying, she would be dealt with, too.

Not long into their investigation, the P.I.s spotted her exiting the building with a 30-something guy. They followed the two as they climbed in his black BMW, and drove away.

First, the lawyer took Tiff home. Then the P.I.s followed him back to his place. Once they had his address, they realized that he was an attorney, from a firm in our building, on the 69th floor.

After a little more digging, they revealed that this attorney was already under investigation for various car insurance rear-end scams–and filed three suits for sexual harassment, with Tiff as his client, and two cases that settled out of court.

As the HR people wrapped up their investigation, model-genius Tiff, who lied on her resume but told the truth about committing a felony, is called in for questioning.

With the pile of evidence against her on the table, she cracked—confessed everything, talked frantically of pressing charges against us for extortion, burst into tears and ran out of the office.

Next day, the giant clock in front of my desk read exactly 2:05 P.M., in bright red digital numbers; it was Friday the 13th.

Just then, someone from Tiff’s attorney’s firm came to our office, quietly handed us an envelope, and left—inside was a letter demanding our firm cough-up $10,000 so their firm wouldn’t “move forward with a sexual harassment lawsuit.”

Now, you have to understand that this is not how a lawyer would handle a legitimate sexual harassment case. Ordinarily, they’d just serve you a summons and see your ass in court. This was extortion, plain and simple.

I gave my bosses the letter, and by the time the clock read 2:13 P.M., our company’s P.I. had called the law firm that served us the letter, telling them of all the dirt they’d dug up on their firm’s employee. He urged them to file a suit against Tiff’s attorney, warning that the extortion charges that my company was about to file would crumble their already struggling law firm.

At 2:25 P.M., I happened to be down on the street, smoking a cigarette with a co-worker. Out of the blue, I hear “Splat,” followed by piercing, vivid screams of fear and nauseous anxiety.

Suddenly, I saw two girls running down the side of the street with blood and muscle tissue covering their faces. And I just walked around, asking myself what the hell was going on.

In the confusion, my buddy told me to turn around. I did, and there it was: A severed human leg on the concrete–no shoe, just a leg from the knee down, in a sock, with blood and human flesh liquefied on the surrounding sidewalk.

Tourists were screaming, and I saw a few women in tears. The police were holding back the crowd.

Needing to get back to work, I left them all to gawk at the gore, and walked back inside.

“Friday the 13th, all right,” I thought when the shock wore off, as I headed back to my desk, and then home for the weekend, a few hours later.

Monday morning, I Googled “Dude jumps off Empire State Building,” and found the article I was looking for, right off the bat. I clicked on the link. Immediately, a frigid chill ran up my spine: The Leg had belonged to Tiff’s Attorney.

According to the newspaper article, after the P.I. called with talk of extortion and disbarment, the guy just got up in the middle of a meeting, and jumped out the f*cking window.

“Sources say the attorney received a phone call in middle of a meeting Friday, hung up, opened an office window and jumped to his death, from the 69th floor,” read the article.

“Only the severed leg reached street level, with the rest of the body left splattered on the building platform on the 30th floor”

I sat at my desk, breathing heavy, not knowing what to do. All I could think was, “Wow, I killed that guy. If I hadn’t turned in that dumb b*tch’s letter, he might still be alive.” Needless to say, that was the last time I handed over anything to HR

So Where do I start…. Egypt where a revolution before our eyes is in fact being televised. The young people have finally had enough of the old people running crap. Fixing elections, they are silent no more.

Egypt and Revolution

This is a beautiful thing, young people standing up for what they believe in, a generation that has only known one leader. This is a true display of the Power of Unity. On the other hand our Mainstream media covers it with such disdain with headlines such as “CHAOS” , “Violent Overthrow” simply framing it as crazy thugs without a cause.(I mean we have been allies of Mubarak for his entire time in office.

For the most part these protesters have been peaceful, only a small percentage started to loot, riot, throw rocks etc, some were later caught rocking Mubarak’s Private Police Id’s . Reports clearly show this is how most of this violence started but as long as we get the big picture that’s all that matters.

America Historically has loved Dictators, we were very friendly with Saddam before he messed with our money, I would go on to name a few but I think I’ll just post up a short list of Dictators that were pretty friendly with the U.S.A.

Abacha, General Sani —————————-Nigeria

So this just goes to show ya, We fucks with dictators. haha sorry just had to drop that in.

Now take a minute think about this,…. Go a head google them look them up read on each one learn the stories, learn the struggles of our PEOPLE. the Human People the Human race. Only then can we begin to understand and learn from the past so that we can move forward in the future.

Tucson Shooting

The Gabrielle Giffords shooting in Tucson was horrible, I mean the political rhetoric in the USA had this comedic ring to it. Some foreigners even joke on our politics as being comical or even a circus act. But it is no laughing matter that we live in a place where a mentally ill person can purchase a hand gun with a 30 round extended clip .

Gun Control

As a result Nineteen people were shot, six of them fatally, with one other person injured at the scene. Why the hell would anyone need to have a handgun that can shoot 30 friggin rounds? really? 30 Rounds? We had a ban on automatic weapons and assault rifles , from like 94′ to 2004.

This was like for Oozies, M16s, EXTENDED 30 Round CLIPS, etc. Now I understand we have the right to bear arms. But why the hell would you need an Oozie, or an M16? Unless you’re going to kill People? You can’t Hunt deer with that, well you can if you’re a douche.

The reason this ban has not been renewed is because the NRA donates a shit ton of money to our politicians to vote against that. They love money. the USA is the most Armed Nation in the world with most gun deaths, and this will not change unless we change.

…. Well, that’s it for my Comeback post, but I will definitely try to blog a little more often and get some crap off my chest. Crazy twitter makes it easy to share quick thoughts and links and it becomes a little hard to squeeze in some time to let them all out at once.

So that’s the Yap for today.

Freedom: the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action

Sexual Freedom: The same shit when it comes to sex.

Recently I was a spectator of what I would call the War of the Smuts, You had Guys and Girls airing each other’s Sexting Photos on blogs. Girls accusing guys of being smuts or whores on You a fuck boy Bitch boy Blog and guys doing the same on SMUTS R US blog (that has since been deleted). Now how both blogs work is that people email anonamously, revealing pictures of people they were sexually involved with and write-up details on the experience they had. Like a low-budget reality show but on the internet pretty entertaining, but at the same time damaging tho those who were exposed. After seeing this I had a few questions.

What makes a person a whore? male or female. This goes for all the other titles smut, slut, skeez, etc. It seems like an ongoing debate, to some a man is ok and expected to sleep around and conquer as many Vagina’s as possible he is considered a stud. While at the same time a woman who does this is labeled as a slut or a whore. My question is what are the rules? when is someone a whore or a smut, can this argument be so one-sided? Over the last decade I’ve noticed a huge increase in women being more vocal about sexuality and the thought of casual sex become more acceptable to the mainstream.

With shows like “Sex in the City” ,”Gossip Girl” or talk shows like “Tyra”(not that I have ever watched any of these, well except for Tyra she’s pretty bad ass), has helped to make this even a bigger “Hot Topic”. In my opinion here are the rules: If you are in a monogamous relationship male/female, and you go out and cheat then you are a liar and a cheat. Notice how I mentioned monogamous, nowadays people have polyamorous, open, flings etc so this may not apply to them as they have a different set of rules.

Now if you are a single male or female and knowingly engage in sexual acts with someone who is in a relationship then you are a whore, smut just basically a bad person because you are knowingly hurting someone else with no regard for your actions. Now lastly if you are single and do as you please sexually with whomever you want while being safe then you are Human, not a whore, skeez or any of those things. However notice I mentioned being safe because we do live in a crazy world riddled with disease. Not being safe would lead to spreading this kind of thing knowingly and carelessly making you a Smut, or a Boofer someone to watch out for.

Now I really would like to know what do you think, do you agree or disagree with my rules? what are your rules who is a Whore or a smut?

Bigz did it again with some more music to feed our souls, this time its STARMAN the EP..

Bigz did it again with some more music to feed our souls, this time its STARMAN the EP.. I first got a hold of this via a Tweet from @bigzflygerian himself, I’ve been waiting about 5 months for it since the release of Flight of the Navigator his unique killer flow with ability to make songs that last completely captured my attention. I will take a different approach and go by this track by track at least try to explain the music. But before I start I want you to know this is not your usual mindless commercial junk you hear on the radio, So if you’re looking for your usual bubble gum beats with ghostwritten flows then this may not be for you. But if your on some Grown Folks/Grown Man Shit then it’s time you take a journey on the Starship Enterprise and feel the power that is STARMAN.

1- Starman- The opneing track very theatrical and paints a picture of what is to come in the rest of the EP. Sick drums with hints of a “Phantom of the Opera” sample in the backround(I am not sure if this is so but will confirm, however very powerful)

2-I Just want the paper- Now this is a HOOD Banger if I ever heard one, this song will make you get on your feet with the heavy drums and the impecable flow that Bigz brings to the table, and to top it off I could’nt agree with the man more. Dont we all just want the paper? and for those of you on your grown man shit listen for the Million Dollar Man Sample. I grew up watching wrestling and this totally bought me back, This is one of the things I love most about Bigz music he keeps you on your toes thinking, and does not hesitate to take you on a trip down memory lane.

3-OMO NAIJA(The Anthem)- OMO Naija translates to I’m Nigerian! and this song is phenomenal, with the synths, keys, drums etc just a powerful movement. Now I’m not Nigerian I’m Dominican, but for 4 minutes and 10 Seconds of this songs I’m the FLyest Nigerian you’ll ever meet. The fact that through music this guy can reach across the Atlantic and start such a powerful movement is epic to say the least.

4-Loose Control- Definately on some Grown Man shit of course, If you have not heard Flight of the Navigator, you probably don’t know I mean I suggest you download that as well.

5-Place in the sky- With features from Tzar and Selah we have a song that will stay in your head for day’s at a time. The Hook reminds me of a classic R&B song by Monica “Angel of mine” and definitely brings back good memories with crazy flows from all artist.

6-Sleeping Satellites(featuring Sway)- now this song is definitely going to ring some bells in the weeks to come, now when you get to of UK’s top artist Sway and Bigz together on a track you are destined for greatness #nobruno of course. I’m 7 songs into this EP and i feel the fire that is the Flygerian movement. A powerful Track

7-Motion picture This one is one of my favorite tracks on the EP with words that inspire and beats that keep you moving. Again with a sample that leaves an impression on you, whoever did the production for this EP is definitely a problem. The industry will soon know.

8-Rhythm of my life. Definitely on some grown man shit for this one. Bigz has the ability to take a sample that you would never expect someone to rap over and take you on a journey with his clever wordplay and sick punch lines that have you gasping for air.

9-Starship Enterprise/I Look Like Money- Both these songs I’ve heard on Flight of the Navigator which you must download http://www.datpiff.com/bigz_Flight_Of_The_Navigator.m81962.html both amazing I just felt I would cover all the one ones to me in this review.

Who’s right? who’s wrong? it is indeed a touchy subject as many would say. On one hand we have each religious groups who for the most part believe they are on the right path. Then we have Atheist who don’t believe any of it and agnostics who agree to say they are unsure of the truth. Many times I’ve been caught in the middle of a heated debate on this topic. What I have taken back from most of these is the conclusion that the biggest problem that feeds the fire in this case is the danger of childhood indoctrination. Although not everyone who is religious was brought up with no choice of what path to choose, I find that through my personal interactions with those who were given no choice are much more opposed to any form of discussion or questioning of their faith.

In most cases people have no choice what path to follow they take on the religion of their parents from birth. They are taught never to question what the “GOOD BOOK” say’s as this book is “THE WORD OF GOD” it is written in stone, a final word. This is very dangerous and has proven so through history, wars have been fought, millions of lives have been lost. It is against human nature to limit a persons thinking in this manner, however it has been used as a form of control of centuries. When someone has been indoctrinated as a child and conditioned to never question their beliefs when introduced to new ideas they become extremely hostile and unpredictable.

It is my personal belief that the story of “creation” is much more beautiful than anything that has been explained in books. But my belief is just that, a “belief” not fact has yet to be proven but surely not in a book. Does that make me evil? unholy? or a lost soul? No! it makes me a human who based on his life experiences decided not to sign on to any theological explanation to his existence. As Humans we are all naturally explorers, we see this in newborns and toddlers. Until we start to condition and teach them the way, I refuse to be held down and limit my ability to use thought and reason to come to my own conclusions, and discover my own realities.

Think about that for once, look inside yourself for answers, question your beliefs, are they strong enough to survive your natural ability to reason and research them? There is a war going on for the human mind and to many of us surrendered at birth with no choice.

(note: thank you for the response I have gotten many emails, Facebook, and twitter comments on this story I made some edits and added a little to clarify my position. I will make another post at another time detailing exactly what “I” believe to clear some other things up as well but, that’s another post. I do request that you do comment on the blog itself so we can keep an open discussion. )

The controversy surrounding the Islamic cultural center is really a distraction to the bigger issues at hand. It seems that the issues that seem to get the most media attention these days are the ones that divide us as a people. The American hive mind is easily manipulated with propaganda and the use of manufactured consent is something that has held its own in this country for generations.

It becomes increasingly difficult to counter the already manipulated masses. Our only weapon is dialogue and reason, through these channels over time we can slightly gear the hive mind in the right direction whatever that may be. In my opinion the opposition and rage surrounding this specific issue is very un-American in its nature and goes against the principles this nation was founded on.

Given our history I am beginning to believe the definition of what is and what isn’t American is something that itself can be re-defined. Our founding fathers believed in Life,Liberty and the pursuit of happiness and these principles are meant to be held together by the U.S Constitution. A document that has been nearly destroyed by the baby boomers generation, and it is up to my generation to restore it.

Since it’s creating banking and corporate interest have pushed to undermine it and work to dismantle its foundation. We package these ideas and through imperialism spread it across the globe with the simple goal of profit. Just keep in mind that the enemy as it is presented to us is usually imaginary and fabricated, the mainstream media who we believe is here to inform us in actuality is here to keep us in check.

I bet you’re wondering why I hardly mentioned the Mosque in this quick post, well because the mosque is not even the real issue here. Muslims have been praying in that building for the last year, and no one complained until they decided to add a pool and fitness center for the entire community to use. This is just a simple example of how fear is used to move the hive mind in a negative direction.

Read and keep your eyes on the bigger issues, not denying fellow Americans the rights that make this country what it’s supposed to be.

Saturday I went to Central Park with the intention of checking out the Free Q tip concert at Summer Stage. So my buddy Antorne and I were on our way to the Summer Stage.

On our way we saw a bunch of roller skaters Getting Down to some House Music. Among the skaters was one Older Gentleman wearing no skates and sporting a Cane. He moved slow but with Finesse and Grace.

With a little bit of encouragement he walked our way, he looked us both in the eye and said “I aint Fucking Playing anymoer JACK!” he threw his cane on the floor.

After that what happened was Greatness.

I noticed there was this guy in the Background who was not getting the exposure he deserved so We decided it was his time to come and show some of his moves. By the way this guy had a pacemaker and he was wicked old but dancing like a King!

So We decided hey we’ve seen enough and skated down to the other side of the park we came back 10 minutes later and what we saw was truly Epic!.

Dance Party 2009!

One of my Favorite Parts of this one is these Dudes standing right on front of me Laughing their Guts out! We are almost positive that when we walked away someone passed around some Party substance and these people wee going bonkers.

All I know is that we were kicking ourselves in the ass for not being around for the Party Juice, because these people were truly in the zone.
